Lobox

Lobox is a super social App featuring a modular architecture, allowing users to customize their experience based on their preferences. Key modules include Feed, Discovery, Messenger, Recruiter, Profile, Articles, News, and Groups.

As a key contributor, Lobox hired me to help them improve their modular design system and enhance the user experience across platform. After studying their existing platform, I was excited about their mission and saw opportunities for growth.

Problem

Lobox recognized a gap in the social media market where users could find all their needs within a single platform and eliminate the need to switch between different apps.

They approached me with challenges in expanding its modular design system and improving its overall user experience. After analyzing their existing platform, I became intrigued by their mission and identified growth opportunities.

Solution

Lobox solution is a super social media featuring everything under one umbrella.

Users can find posts, jobs, and messaging, on the other side, Businesses can hire candidates, find growth, and much more

The best part? Everything is customized to fit each user's needs, creating a clutter-free experience.

During the course of 1 year and 6 month I have achieved amazing results that I explained in detail below:

Recruiter Portal: Created a recruiter portal enabling businesses to find candidates within Lobox's database or add external candidates. This streamlined hiring process covers all stages, from initial search to final selection.

Automated Profile Filling: Made a process to automatically filling user profiles based on resume data, resulted 30% increase of filling the profile by users.

Collaborative Article Module: Designed a collaborative space for multiple authors to create and edit articles with its edit/publish flows.

Dynamic Groups Module: Developed a modern groups module (renamed "Clubs") featuring a live events wall.

Personalized Discovery: Designed a discover module that instantly suggests relevant content based on user preferences.

Optimized Job Module: Redesigned the job module's components for improved efficiency and user experience.

Integrated Profile Flow: Redesigned the profile flow to seamlessly sync with other modules' databases, reducing backend data fetching and improving performance.

Feed Module: Redesigned the feed module for greater consistency, added quick access to hashtags, and introduced a connections wall feature.

Privacy-Focused Messenger: Redesigned the messenger module while ensuring seamless user experience and strict adherence to the latest privacy regulations.

Successfully redesigned: 70% of the design system, resulting in a 50% reduction in design time and file size.

When I joined Lobox, I found over 90 Figma files for their modules and a disorganized design system that had been in place for years.

After analyzing the situation, I began working on the Article module. I noticed that the design system lacked variables and design tokens.

To be trusted within team was taking time eventhough I was sure that I had the solution but I had to gain the trust within team before coming in with my ideas.

After I finished we had a increase in files due to module expansions but a decrease file sizes and a seamless design system.
